Children’s Mercy Kansas City launched their Patient Progression Hub, a 6000-square foot clinical command center that uses artificial intelligence to streamline patient flow. “On the screens behind us you see an algorithm running that is the first-of-its-kind,” explained Jeff Terry, CEO, Command Center at GE HealthCare. “It is continuously looking at all of the children in the ICU and thinking about who is ready to transfer out so we can create capacity for the next child in need.”
Command Center keeps track of the criteria set by Children’s Mercy Kansas City and helps the clinical team identify which children meet these criteria and are potential candidates for transfer.
