A new video from the Government of Nova Scotia shows how the Nova Scotia Health’s Care Coordination Centre (C3) at the Halifax Infirmary site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre gives healthcare teams real-time information on bed availability, the status of diagnostic tests and procedures, wait lists, ambulance offloads and patient transfers.
“The central Care Coordination Centre enables clinicians and real time decision makers and care providers to see: What does my patient need today? What does my patient need potentially tomorrow? What has to happen for my patient to get home? That to me is the real value of C3,” said Dr. Tanya Munroe, Senior Medical Director, Access and Flow and Care Coordination Centre at Nova Scotia Health.
