Children’s Mercy Kansas City developed its Patient Progression Hub to streamline operations so the organization could care for more patients.
In just seven months after deploying the command center, the hospital opened up capacity for 300 additional patients on Med/Surg floors.
“It [Patient Progression Hub] gives us a complete look at the patient as well as the surrounding community. We’re looking at the entire patient flow instead of just a piece of it,” said Stephanie Meyer, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer.
